Before You Order — 6 Essential Measurements
Measure Your Wall Space
Measure the full width of the wall where the sofa will sit, noting any alcoves, radiators, or sockets. Allow at least 5cm gap on each side of the sofa from walls or other furniture.
Measure the Depth Available
Measure from the wall to the first obstacle in front (coffee table, TV unit, etc.). Your sofa's depth plus at least 45cm of walking clearance should fit within this space.
Check Your Doorways & Hallways
Measure the width and height of every door, corridor, and stairwell the sofa must pass through on delivery. As a guide: most sofas can be carried upright or on their side — note which dimension is smallest for access.
Consider the Diagonal Carry-In
If a sofa cannot go in upright, measure the diagonal carry-in distance. Stand the sofa on its end and measure diagonally from one corner to the opposite — this diagonal must clear your doorway width.
Mark It Out With Tape
Before ordering, use masking tape on your floor to mark the exact footprint of the sofa. Live with it for a day — you'll immediately feel whether the scale works in your room.
