FAQ

1. Orders & Lead Times

Q: How long will my sofa take to arrive?
A: Every piece is handcrafted to order in our UK workshop. Our typical lead time is 8–12 weeks from the date you place your order to delivery. We’ll keep you updated throughout the process and let you know when your sofa is ready to be scheduled for delivery.

Q: Are your sofas made to order or kept in stock?
A: Our Chesterfields are made to order. This allows us to maintain a high level of craftsmanship and offer a wider range of coverings and bespoke options than would be possible with mass‑produced stock.

2. Delivery & Access

Q: What delivery service do you use?
A: For UK mainland, we use a two‑person delivery service to your room of choice. Your sofa will be brought into your home, placed in the room you choose and any packaging will be removed.

Q: Do you deliver to my area?
A: We deliver throughout the UK and can also arrange international delivery. For all non‑UK‑mainland and international addresses, please contact us for a personalised delivery quote and we will do our best to help or recommend a solution.

Q: What if my sofa doesn’t fit through the door or up the stairs?
A: Before ordering, we strongly recommend checking your access – doorways, hallways, staircases and tight corners. If you’re unsure, please contact us and we can advise on key measurements and how to check them. If access is very tight, we may be able to suggest alternative options or designs.

3. Customisation & Bespoke

Q: Can I choose a different leather or fabric?
A: Yes. While the product page shows each design in a particular leather – often cracked wax leather – we can manufacture almost any design in a wide range of leathers and fabrics. If you’d like a different covering, please get in touch to discuss options.

Q: Can you change the size or design of a sofa?
A: In many cases, yes. As a manufacturer with decades of experience, we can often adjust dimensions or design details to suit your space or project. Please contact us with your requirements and we’ll let you know what’s possible.

Q: Do you offer commercial or corporate pieces?
A: Yes. Luxury Furniture Collection has over 43 years’ experience supplying the trade and corporate clients. Whether your project is residential or commercial, small or large, we can help with bespoke designs, coverings and quantities.

4. Quality, Materials & Guarantee

Q: What materials do you use?
A: Our sofas are built on solid hardwood frames, with joints that are dowelled, screwed and glued for long‑term strength. We use carefully selected leathers and fabrics, including cracked wax leather, sourced from across the UK and beyond. Every piece is handmade and hand‑finished in the UK.

Q: What does the 25‑year frame guarantee cover?
A: Our 25‑year frame guarantee covers structural defects in the solid hardwood frame and faults in the frame joints and fixings under normal domestic use. It does not cover normal wear and tear to leather or fabric, natural softening, changes in appearance of cracked wax leather, or damage caused by misuse or improper care.

Q: Where are your sofas made?
A: All of our Chesterfield sofas and chairs are handcrafted in the UK by our family workshop, drawing on over four decades of experience.

5. Payments & Financing

Q: What payment methods do you accept?
A: We accept Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay. All payments are processed securely at checkout.

Q: Do you offer deposits or financing?
A: At present we accept full payment at the time of order. We are exploring financing options for the future. If you have a specific request regarding payment, please contact us and we’ll do our best to help.

6. Care & Maintenance

Q: How do I care for cracked wax leather?
A: Regular light hoovering with a soft brush attachment will keep dust at bay. For spills, blot immediately with a clean, dry cloth – do not rub and do not use household cleaning sprays. We recommend using a good‑quality leather care product suitable for cracked wax leather 2–3 times per year, always testing on a hidden area first. Avoid direct sunlight, radiators and harsh chemicals.

Q: Will my sofa change in appearance over time?
A: Yes – this is part of the charm. Cracked wax leather and other natural leathers develop character, softening and patina with use. Creases, subtle colour variation and a more relaxed look are normal and expected over time.
