Questions & Answers

Everything you need to know

We’ve gathered the answers to the questions we’re asked most often before and after ordering. If there’s anything we haven’t covered, just get in touch and our team will be happy to help.

Orders & Lead Times

How long will my sofa take to arrive?

Every sofa is made to order in our UK workshop. Please allow 4–6 weeks for your sofa to be made, followed by delivery to your room of choice.

We’ll keep you updated throughout the process and will contact you to arrange a convenient delivery date as soon as your sofa is ready.

Are your sofas kept in stock or made to order?

Every sofa is made to order. We don’t keep pre-built sofas in a warehouse waiting to be shipped.

Instead, we begin making your sofa once your order is placed. This allows us to give each piece the time, care and attention it deserves, helping us maintain the standard of craftsmanship we’re known for.

Delivery

What does delivery include?

Our standard UK mainland delivery includes two-person, white-glove delivery to the room of your choice.

Your sofa will be carefully brought into your home, positioned where you’d like it and unpacked. We’ll also remove all packaging before we leave.

There’s no kerbside drop-off, no assembly required and no packaging left behind. Delivery is included free of charge on all UK mainland orders.

Do you deliver outside the UK mainland?

Yes. We can arrange delivery to non-mainland UK addresses and internationally.

Please contact us before placing your order so we can confirm availability and let you know about any additional delivery costs.

What if my sofa won’t fit through the door or up the stairs?

It’s important to check access before ordering, including doorways, hallways, staircases and any narrow turns.

If you’re unsure whether your sofa will fit, send us the measurements you’re working with and we’ll do our best to help. It’s always better to check beforehand than discover a problem on delivery day.

Customisation & Bespoke

Can I order a different leather or fabric?

Yes. Each product page shows one covering option, but most of our designs can be made in a wide range of leathers and fabrics.

If you already have a particular colour, texture or material in mind, get in touch and we’ll let you know what’s available.

Can you change the size or dimensions?

In many cases, yes. As the sofas are made by us rather than sourced from elsewhere, we can often accommodate changes to the size or design.

Send us your requirements and we’ll give you a clear answer about what’s possible.

Do you work with commercial clients?

Yes. We’ve been supplying trade and commercial clients for over 43 years, including hotels, offices, clubs and private projects.

We can help with bespoke quantities, coverings and designs. Contact us to discuss your project and we’ll be happy to talk through your requirements.

Quality, Materials & Guarantee

What is the frame made from?

Our frames are made from solid hardwood, with every joint dowelled, screwed and glued.

There’s no particle board and no unnecessary shortcuts. It’s this solid construction that allows us to offer a 25-year frame guarantee.

What does the 25-year frame guarantee cover?

The guarantee covers structural defects in the hardwood frame, along with faults in the joints and fixings, when the sofa has been used normally in a domestic setting.

It doesn’t cover general wear to the leather or fabric, natural changes in appearance over time, or damage caused by misuse.

Leather will soften, develop creases and change in appearance as it ages. That’s part of its character and one of the reasons people choose real leather. The frame, however, is built to last.

Where are your sofas made?

Every sofa is made in our family workshop in the UK.

Payments & Financing

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay. All payments are processed securely at checkout.

Do you offer financing or staged payments?

At present, full payment is required when you place your order. We’re exploring financing options for the future.

If you’d like to discuss a particular payment arrangement, contact us and we’ll see how we can help.

Care & Maintenance

How do I look after the leather?

Dust your leather regularly with a soft cloth or the brush attachment on your vacuum cleaner.

If something is spilled, gently blot it straight away with a clean, dry cloth. Avoid rubbing the area, and don’t use household cleaning products.

We recommend applying a quality cracked wax leather conditioner two or three times a year. Always test it on a small, hidden area first.

To help protect the leather, keep your sofa away from direct sunlight and heat sources.

Will the leather change over time?

Yes and that’s exactly what makes it special.

With regular use, the leather will soften, deepen in colour and develop its own character. Creases, natural variations and the patina that appears over time are not faults. They’re part of the beauty of owning genuine leather.
